What Is Unique About IB Education In Hyderabad?

The highly renowned International Baccalaureate (often referred to as the IB) has emerged as a popular alternative for globally mobile parents seeking an internationally adaptable curriculum for their offspring due to its global transfer-ability, rigour, and depth of study.

The International Baccalaureate delivers programmes for students aged three to nineteen. It is studied in thousands of foreign institutions in popular relocation locations around the world, including many private and international schools as well as certain state schools in the United Kingdom.

The IB is arguably best recognised for its 2-year Diploma Programme, which is taken worldwide by students aged 16 to 19. However, since its foundation in 1968, certifying authority the IB Organisation has expanded its offering to include the early years through the Primary Years Programme, the Middle Years Programme, and the recently formed Career-related Programme.

Creating global citizens

The IB mission statement displays the IBO's dedication to the formation of a well-rounded, globally educated global citizen.

"Through intercultural understanding and respect," it adds, "the International Baccalaureate seeks to cultivate enquiring, knowledgeable, and compassionate young people who assist to create a better and more peaceful world."

The PYP and MYP have increased in popularity alongside the DP. The IB is presently taught in over 4,700 schools worldwide, in both the public and private sectors. Find IB tutors in Hyderabad, Telangana with help of IBGA now!

To teach one or more IB programmes, an education system must first undergo an authorisation process managed by the IBO; only then may it declare itself an IB school. This arduous process, which can take 2-3 years, can be a valuable predictor of success for families seeking for an institution for their child.

IB is cohesive with other educational boards

The IB programme emphasises building skills and attitudes. When students transfer from one school to another on a regular basis, the subject matter (even within the very same syllabus) may not always remain the same.

However, the capability to think critically, learn independently, work collaboratively, analyse research, solve problems, and take responsibility for one's own studying are all transferable and enable for an easy entry from an IB school to any other school.

The DP is noted for pushing pupils to improve independent research and critical thinking skills, but it can be difficult for kids who aren't all-rounders.

Some think it's too broad for kids who want to specialise. The DP, on the other hand, is highly recognised by university admissions authorities and is one of the few foreign curricula that is truly worldwide transferrable. Know more with the help of IB tutors in Hyderabad from IBGA!

IBGA’s Approach & Perspectives On IB Learning

IBGA works with a curriculum that develops future leaders must investigate and debate topics having local, personal, and global implications. We give opportunities for students to gain an understanding of many cultural views as well as a regard for the commonalities and complexities of human experience.

IBGA perpetually probes, that what impact might institutions have on a world entangled in disputes based on religious, cultural, economic, and political differences if they can educate leaders who recognise that other people, despite their disagreements can also be right?

PYP- Primary Years Programme

The PYP is designed for students’ age from three to twelve. It aims to motivate youngsters to be engaged and driven in their own studying by assisting them in investigating topics of interest to them.

It motivates kids to make links between disparate pieces of information, increasing their grasp of how the world actually works.

This inquiry-based method allows students to expand their knowledge by emphasising on how to acquire and how to search out.

The PYP curriculum is intended to provide students with a solid foundation in the traditional fundamentals of literacy and numeracy, while also emphasising wide communication skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and the capacity to apply learning in new settings.

The PYP is indeed transferrable. While the program's implementation varies every institution, its core structure and principles remain consistent. This ensures that parents and children continue to study even when they move to a new country.

MYP-Middle Years Programme

The MYP is designed for pupils aged 11 to 16. It lasts about five years, with classes separated into 8 subject groups.

Students also complete a personal project in their last year of study, which enables them to exhibit the knowledge and abilities they have gained during the programme. They are supposed to lead the procedure, with teacher supervision.

Students may choose to take the MYP e-Assessment, which gives them with IB-validated scores based on their tests and homework, and then obtain a MYP Certificate. Consult more with IB tutors in India from IBGA!

DP-Diploma Programme

Students who achieve a minimum of twenty four points and successfully execute the essential parts, including the EE-Extended Essay and TOK-Theory of Knowledge, are granted the IB Diploma. The results are given to students in July & January.

A student can earn a maximum of 45 points. Scores are calculated based on the assigned grades of 1-7 for each of the 6 subject areas, for a sum of 42 points, plus three extra points for the EE-Extended Essay and TOK-Theory of Knowledge components.

Against GCSEs and A Levels, which have suffered grade inflation and have been chastised for reducing standards, the IB has retained absolutely outstanding standards over the world for almost 40 years. The IBO reports that Diploma Programme pass rates have stayed steady at roughly 80%, with an average score of around 30 points.
