Refund & Cancellation Policy

At IB Global Academy (IBGA), we are committed to maintaining a fair, transparent and consistent process for cancellations, discontinuation and refunds. Refund eligibility and the amount of any refund shall be determined in accordance with the applicable programme/package terms and the provisions set out below.

1. Classes Already Conducted

Classes that have already been conducted or attended by the student are non-refundable. The corresponding fee shall be treated as utilised.

2. Discontinuation by Student

If a student decides to discontinue the programme before completion, the amount attributable to eligible unused classes/hours may be refunded, subject to the terms of this Policy. The refund shall be calculated after taking into account the classes/hours already utilised, applicable package pricing, discounts, deductions and any non-refundable charges.

3. Discounted or Special Packages

If a student has purchased a discounted, promotional or special package and subsequently discontinues the programme before completion, IBGA reserves the right to recalculate the charges for the classes/hours already utilised based on the standard applicable rate communicated at the time of enrolment, rather than the discounted package rate.

Any eligible balance remaining after such recalculation and applicable deductions shall be refunded.

4. Missed or Late-Cancelled Classes

Classes missed by a student without prior notice, or cancelled/rescheduled outside the cancellation period communicated by IBGA, shall be treated as utilised and shall not be eligible for refund or adjustment.

Where applicable, IBGA may specify a minimum notice period for cancellation or rescheduling at the time of enrolment or booking.

5. Non-Availability of Services by IBGA

If IBGA is unable to provide the agreed services for reasons attributable to IBGA, and the services cannot reasonably be rescheduled or otherwise provided, the fee attributable to the remaining unused classes/hours shall be refunded.

6. Third-Party and Non-Tuition Charges

Any separately charged third-party, administrative or non-tuition services, materials, examination fees, registration fees or other charges that have already been purchased, provided, incurred or committed on behalf of the student shall be non-refundable, where applicable.

7. Refund Calculation

Where a refund is applicable, the refundable amount shall be calculated based on the applicable programme/package terms, classes/hours utilised, applicable standard or package rate, discounts or recalculations, and any applicable non-refundable or third-party charges.

The refundable amount shall not necessarily be calculated solely on a pro-rata basis of the total package fee.

8. Refund Request

All refund requests must be submitted by the student in writing through the official communication channel designated by IBGA.

IBGA shall review the request and determine refund eligibility and the applicable refund amount in accordance with this Policy and the terms of the relevant programme/package.

9. Rescheduling

Where reasonably possible, IBGA may offer rescheduling or continuation of eligible unused classes/hours instead of processing a refund. Any such rescheduling shall be subject to IBGA's availability, scheduling arrangements and applicable programme terms.

10. Programme Validity

Where a programme or package has a specified validity period, the student is required to utilise the classes/hours within that period. Expiry of the programme/package due to the student's failure to utilise the available classes within the applicable validity period shall not, unless otherwise agreed in writing by IBGA, create an entitlement to a refund.

11. No Automatic Refund

Discontinuation, non-attendance, temporary suspension or cancellation of a programme does not automatically entitle a student to a refund. Any refund shall be determined in accordance with this Policy and the applicable programme/package terms.

12. Refund Processing

Approved refunds shall generally be processed within 7–10 working days from the date of approval and, wherever practicable, shall be made through the original payment method used by the student.
