For the IB learners and educational institutions requiring an outside validation of their 16-year-old student's accomplishments, MYP eAssessment was created. With its new assessment model, students can now earn formal, recognised qualifications while also strengthening the continuum.
The online tests are actually "un-study able." This is supported by the absence of a set curriculum, the existence of past exams, and especially the format of the questions. Although this idea is not brand-new, it is a positive development.
Examiners may find it more challenging to formulate original questions in this manner as time goes on and more historical examples become available. The move to computer-based exams raises additional concerns about whether computers may eventually be used to assess the IB diploma examinations themselves.
E assessments: A validation of learner’s performance
E-assessments are elective online tests administered by the IB to MYP learners. The online test lasts for two hours. It serves as an outside validation of student performance.
In contrast to traditional exams, the IB may assess all MYP learning and instruction outcomes, including knowledge and comprehension, conceptual understanding, and communication abilities, through on-screen exams.
